What's included
GTA+ is Rockstar's ongoing membership for GTA Online: recurring in-game currency deposits, member-only vehicles and unlocks, and store discounts, refreshed with monthly benefit drops. official Rockstar has not yet published the full benefit list for GTA 6's online mode specifically — expect details closer to the November 19 launch. reported

The auto-renew catch
This is the part that has caught people out: the bundled month of GTA+ is structured as a subscription trial, not a one-off gift. Once activated, it converts to a paid subscription at $7.99/month when the free month ends, and keeps billing until you cancel. official
Cancelling does not shorten your free month — you keep GTA+ until the period ends. Cancel early rather than late: refunds on an auto-renewed charge are handled case-by-case by Sony or Microsoft and are not guaranteed. reported
How to cancel on PS5
- Open the PlayStation Store on your PS5.
- Select … (the three-dot menu) at the top right, then Subscriptions.
- Find GTA+, select it, and choose Turn Off Auto-Renew / Cancel Subscription.
You can also do this from a browser: sign in at the PlayStation account management site, then Subscriptions → GTA+ → Turn Off Auto-Renew.
How to cancel on Xbox
- Go to account.microsoft.com and sign in with the account that pre-ordered.
- Open Services & subscriptions.
- Find GTA+, select Manage, then Cancel subscription (or turn off recurring billing).
On the console itself: Settings → Account → Subscriptions.
Should you keep it?
If you play GTA Online regularly, one month at $7.99 is easy to evaluate during the free period. If you pre-ordered mainly for the campaign, set a reminder to cancel the day you activate the trial — you lose nothing by cancelling immediately, and you avoid the surprise charge.
