The actual state of things
GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 as "a single-player experience" (Rockstar's words official). No multiplayer, no Online mode, no crossplay question until one exists.
The precedent
GTA 5's Online mode arrived two weeks after launch in 2013 — and never supported crossplay between PlayStation and Xbox in twelve years. If Rockstar breaks that pattern for GTA 6's eventual Online mode, it will be the first time. Tracked here.
